Stacy Williams - Santa In Shades 1-12

What started as a gift for his mother turned into an artistic and reflective journey over the course of almost 10 years. Using his uncle wearing shades as the original model, a younger Williams was merely depicting his family celebrating Christmas.  Over time the portraits revealed more about representation in media through what he calls a singular visual lens. Williams intent became to explore the idea of shades with the playfulness and imagination of the Santa Claus myth.
