Taken in New Orleans during the Covid lockdown, this image mirrors the spirit of Domino Sugar Stack. I framed the factory through the branches, the organic encroaching on the industrial. The two worlds sit in contrast, steel and smoke against leaves and sky, but the outcome is inevitable. One day, nature will reclaim it completely. I imagined this photograph as a postcard from the future, a souvenir of something that once loomed large but now belongs to memory. In its own way, it’s both a farewell and a reminder: nothing we build lasts forever, but the earth endures.
